Dr. Jin joined MANA from New York Presbyterian Queens. She completed pediatrics residency and neonatal/perinatal medicine fellowship at New York Presbyterian Cornell, where she also graduated from medical school with honors in service. She prides herself on practicing evidence-based medicine and prioritizing family-centered care of her infant patients and their families.
Dr. Jin’s career interests are in the field of neonatal nutrition. On a clinical level, she has created NICU feeding protocols, managed a donor milk program, and created IV infiltrate guidelines in conjunction with a Quality Improvement project aimed at reducing the incidence of IV infiltrates in the NICU population. On a research level, she led a translational research project at NYP Cornell that collected neonatal stool samples to study the effects of maternal antenatal COVID-19 on the neonate and gut serotonin levels after antibiotic administration in the NICU. The stool biobank she created has led to a plethora of projects within her mentor’s lab.
Dr. Jin believes in diligent care of not only the NICU infant, but also their family members during an emotionally and physically taxing hospitalization, and celebrates with her families when their babies are discharged to become NICU graduates. She lives in north NJ with her husband, daughter, and dog Taco after relocating from Brooklyn, NY.
