Infant Apnea Program
Occassionally, infants will be discharged home from the hospital with an apnea monitor. The MidAtlantic Neonatology Infant Apnea Program provides education, support and medical management for infants on home apnea monitors. The program utilizes neonatologists and advanced practitioners specially trained in the management of these high risk infants.
What we provide
- Liaison with home medical equipment company
- Education on neonatal apnea and bradycardia
- Continuous support and education about the use of a home apnea monitor
- A qualified apnea nurse or physician available by telephone 24 hours a day
- Remote download and interpretation of data from your home apnea monitor
- Medical management of infants discharged home on apnea monitors including appropriate discontinuation of medications and apnea monitors
